Frequently Asked Questions.

  • A naturopath takes a holistic approach to your health, looking at the whole picture rather than just isolated symptoms. We explore your lifestyle, diet, stress levels, sleep patterns, and more to uncover what may be affecting your health - sometimes in ways you might not even realise!

Through a combination of tools including herbal medicine, nutritional supplements, personalised diet and lifestyle strategies, and careful health assessment - a naturopath helps support your body’s natural ability to heal and thrive.

I have a particular interest in gut health, cardiometabolic health, mental wellness, and skin conditions, but I work with a wide range of health concerns. The focus isn’t just on relieving symptoms; it’s about uncovering the root causes, restoring balance, and empowering you with the knowledge and tools to regain control of your health and feel your best.

  • Naturopathy is a holistic approach to health that focuses on supporting your body’s natural ability to heal and maintain balance. A naturopath works with you to identify the root causes of your symptoms, rather than just managing them, and creates a personalised plan that may include nutrition, lifestyle changes, herbal medicine, supplements, and other natural therapies.

Naturopathy can help with a wide range of health concerns, including digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, fatigue, stress, sleep problems, immune support, and chronic conditions. By addressing the underlying factors affecting your health, naturopathy aims to improve your overall wellbeing, energy, and quality of life.

  • An initial consultation is a comprehensive deep dive into your health. During this session, I will ask detailed questions about various aspects of your health to gain a clear understanding of what’s happening in your body. We’ll also review your diet and lifestyle habits to see how they may be affecting your well-being.

I will gather information about your current symptoms, personal health history, and family history, as well as discuss any medications or supplements you may be taking. Where necessary, I may perform a gentle physical examination. Together, we will collaborate to create a personalised roadmap for your care, designed to support your health goals and address the underlying causes of any concerns.

  • I am a degree qualified naturopath with a 4-year Health Science (Naturopathy) Bachelor degree from Torrens University.
I am also a register member of the Naturopaths & Herbalists Association of Australia (NHAA) (membership no. 159999).

  • It is often beneficial to work with a naturopath alongside your GP or other healthcare providers. Naturopathy focuses on supporting your overall health, addressing root causes, and promoting your body’s natural healing abilities, which can complement conventional medical care.

As a qualified clinical naturopath, I am trained to understand how natural therapies, supplements, and herbal medicines may interact with prescription medications. I will carefully assess your health history and current treatments to ensure any recommendations are safe, and I will advise when certain therapies may not be appropriate.

Collaboration is a key part of my approach. With your permission, I can communicate with your GP or other healthcare practitioners to coordinate care, monitor progress, and ensure your treatment plan is safe and effective. This integrated approach allows you to benefit from both natural and conventional therapies, while keeping safety as the top priority.
